On Sunday the 20th I decided to visit the Hare Krsna temple in San Diego. The vibe there was great, people are so happy and full of joy. I tried to capture these souls in a state of happiness which was definitely better expressed in person, but it was an honer to capture such event. I took these shots with the D300 and my 35mm F1.8G from F2.8 to F7.1 and ISO at 800, because at the time my only other lens in my bag was the 300mm. I liked the way the colors came out, rather yellow but I'm not complaining. Composition was one of my main focuses during the day. Over all I believe it was a successful day. Fish-Eyeº...
Fullerton Metro Station
San Juan Capistrano
Santa Ana
Just recently picked up a Rokinon 8mm f3.5, and this shoot was a bit random but i decided to test it out this weekend. The detail this lens puts out surprised me! Being a manual focus lens it was a bit tough to get used to but in no time I was enjoying it. Definitely a must have lens in your camera bag if your into the artistic feel. The first few photos were of my little cousin, others were taken on at the Fullerton Metro station, also I shot some on my way to San Juan Capistrano, and then at the Laguna Beach Temple. The main reason why I picked this lens up was because I felt that my photography was becoming too plain, so i thought this would add some perspective to the subjects. For urban photography and people shots its amazing as well. Shot with my Nikon D300, and a Rokinon 8mm MF at f3.5 to f22. All Photographs captured by DuquePhotography©. All Rights Reserved.
